Skill Set Explanation

TRAIT

Blood Boil: Mingyu activates his vampiric powers which makes his eyes glow a bright mulberry color. Mingyu gains increased speed for a few seconds and the properties of certain special attacks are changed while Blood Boil is active

UNIQUE ATTACKS

Trick Spike (Airborne): Mingyu performs a dive kick

Sickle Kick: Mingyu raises his left leg up before bringing it down in a slash-like motion. This attack is considered an overhead thus cannot be blocked when the opponent is crouching

SPECIALS

1. Scorch Fist: Mingyu ignites his left fist in flames before performing a fast but short-ranged strike

2. Heat Blister (When Blood Boil Is Active): Very similar to Scorch Fist as the initial strike starts off the same. However if the first hit is successful. Mingyu follows up by creating a sphere-shaped fireball which sends the opponent flying

3. Red Ride: Mingyu jumps into mid air before performing a flying kick towards the opponent. His foot is covered in an aura of blood. A very fast full screen attack but unsafe on block

4. Red Ride - Type Fresh Bites (When Blood Boil Is Active): Similar to regular Red Ride but instead when the attack connects it does additional hits along with Mingyu recovering a small thing of HP (Health Point) Red Ride - Type Fresh Bites also bypasses any projectile based attacks (NOT COUNTING A SUPER BEAM TYPE ATTACK)

5. Mountain Breaker: A simple but powerful short-ranged fist strike. While a bit slow on start up it is plus on hit and safe on block. If Mingyu decides to charge up the attack for a few seconds. Upon unleashing his strike it can guard crush a blocking opponent. Giving Mingyu a guaranteed follow up

6. Blood Star: Mingyu raises his hand above him and forms a ball of blood in his palm. Mingyu then creates a cylinder shaped shield of blood around his opponent. Striking an opponent who attempts to approach him while in the air. The attack strikes upwards in a vertical line thus mainly used against airborne opponents. Yet it can also hit an opponent that is very close to Mingyu as well even if they are not airborne 

DIVINE RUINATION

Ultimate Blood Star: Mingyu charges towards his opponent with a speedy punch that travels a great distance. Upon striking his opponent in their stomach. Mingyu activates his vampiric form and digs his hand into his opponent's body. Mingyu then uses his fire power to boil his opponent's blood from within. Mingyu then pulls his hand out and backs away. Watching the boiling blood explode from within his target, destroying them from the inside out

Royal Temper: King Onyx ignites a flame in his right palm. Upon doing so his hands become surrounded in a fiery aura. Allowing him to perform stronger variations of certain Special Attacks

UNIQUE ATTACK

Slay: King Onyx performs a forward moving cartwheel strike upon his opponent. It cannot be crouched blocked and can be linked with various special attacks. The con is that it's one of Carousel's slower attacks and thus can be easy for the opponent to anticipate

SPECIAL ATTACKS

1. Burning Moon: King Onyx hurls a sphere shaped fiery projectile at his opponent

2. Inferno Knuckle (In Air): King Onyx ignites his right fist in flames and dives towards his opponent

3. Raging Dahlia (Only Accessible When Royal Temper Is Active): King Onyx Carousel creates a sphere of fire in his palm which grows massively in size. Onyx then chucks the gigantic but slow moving fireball towards his opponent. While this projectile can be reflected by opponents who possess such abilities. Raging Dahlia will beat out most projectiles against it

4. Inferno Driver (Only Accessible When Royal Temper Is Active)/Airborne: King Onyx envelopes his body in ferocious flames and dives towards his opponent with a maddening speed

NOTE: Both Raging Dahlia and Inferno Driver are special attacks only accessible when Royal Temper has been activated. Raging Dahlia replaces the Heavy Punch command for Burning Moon and Inferno Driver replaces the Heavy Punch command for Inferno Knuckle respectively. Once either attack has been performed by King Onyx Carousel. In order to use either attack once again, King Onyx must first perform his trait skill once again 

5. Psychic Knuckle: Onyx performs a speedy but short-ranged punch infused with psychic energy

6. Spiral Psychic Knuckle: Infusing his fist in psychic energy. Onyx performs an vertical lined uppercut strike 

DIVINE RUINATION

Raping Tyrant/Flaming Infliction: King Onyx ignites his body in flames and charges towards his opponent at a maddening speed. Striking his opponent and knocking them into the air. Onyx Carousel leaps into the air as well to meet his opponent. Onyx then performs a flurry of supersonic speedy punches with each blow driving the opponent towards the ground. Once the opponent has been driven down to the ground. Onyx picks up the opponent and with his bare hands rips them in half 

Flame Coronation (RPG Themed Attack): King Onyx Carousel performs a spell that enhances ALL fire based techniques for both himself and his allies for five turns

BACKSTORY

King Onyx Carousel is a devious Cambion who currently rules over Mayland of Earth 531. Conceived by the union of a Grim Reaper and a Holy Woman, the day of his birth would prove to be a day of misfortune. While the love between his father, Maximillion Knox, and his mother, Rosemary Sahi, was genuine,  despite one being a demon and the other a human, Rosemary's fellow Holy men and women detested the relationship. Because of Rosemary's position within the Church, they decided to allow the tainted relationship to take place, knowing good and well it would backfire in due time. Upon Rosemary trying to give birth to her baby boy, the Holy Woman experienced an unearthly degree of pain. This was because the infant possessed too much demonic and holy powers within him, causing a chaotic imbalance to take place within his mother's womb that was killing her. 

Fearful of losing his wife, Maximillion attempted to save her by performing a ritual. The ritual involved extracting a portion of his son's powers into a host of his choosing, which ended up being a demon from his home realm of The Underworld. While the power extraction was successful, unfortunately it wasn't enough to save Rosemary, and she died upon giving birth to their son. Enraged by the loss of his lover, Maximillion attacked the Church. This forced the residents to combine their holy powers to destroy the scornful Grim Reaper. All had gone according to plan of the rest of the residents of the Church. All that was left was to deal with the filthy Cambion child. The people of the Church considered killing the infant upon birth, but decided against it and begrudgingly took care of him until they could find a more humane way to get rid of him. When Onyx reached his second birthday, he was sold to a man in Rogue Town by the name of Telford Roux. This was the beginning of a hard life for Onyx that would shape his perception of life forever.

Living under the tyranny of his handler. Onyx faced physical, sexual, and mental abuse from the sadistic witch. Telford trained Onyx in using his demonic powers as he grew older, ensuring the boy would act as a shield of sought whenever he and Telford ventured out to perform whatever nefarious schemes Telford had in mind. Many sages tried to apprehend Telford, but the powerful young Cambion, Onyx, slayed whoever dared to oppose his handler. One day, however, a group of skillful sages led by a man named Tobirama Senju found Telford and Onyx. Onyx and Telford tried their best to kill Tobirama and his allies, but Tobirama's team proved too much for the duo as Onyx was subdued and Telford was slain. Feeling sorry for the young Cambion, Tobirama showed Onyx mercy and decided to attempt to reform the young half-demon. Unfortunately, Onyx had witnessed the worst of mankind and his mind was already altered by his upbringing. No amount of rehabilitation could possibly repair the damage that's already been done to Onyx's morality.

Onyx was recruited to Tobirama's guild, much to his and the other members' chagrin. Despite having a less than stellar beginning, Onyx grew to admire his fellow comrades. He particularly became close to fellow guild member Donovan Storm. Tobirama and his guild worked directly under Mayland's then-ruler, Queen Idaline, who had a complicated relationship with Tobirama stemming from their childhood. The Queen wasn't fond of the idea of Tobirama having Onyx among his guild, let alone the fact that he spared the half-demon's life instead of killing him along with his former handler. Still, because of her unique relationship with Tobirama, that went past any common formalities, Queen Idaline trusted Tobirama's judgment while keeping an eye on the troubled half-demon. Things remained amicable between Tobirama's team and the Queen until that very fateful day. 

While over time Onyx proved to be an asset to Tobirama and the other guild members, Queen Idaline still did not trust him. She had an important mission that she wanted Tobirama and the others to handle for her in Apatite City. However, she did not permit Onyx to join Tobirama and his team. Instead, she sent Onyx on a separate assignment in Arundel. Onyx successfully completed his mission in Arundel. Upon returning to Mayland, he learned the unfortunate news that Tobirama, Donovan, and his other guild mates had died during their assignment in Apatite City. Enraged, Onyx disappeared and began preparing his revenge against Queen Idaline. Blaming the Queen's racism towards him because he was part demon. If only he had accompanied Tobirama and the others to Apatite City, things may have turned out differently. However, the past cannot be undone and for that, Queen Idaline must die! Thankfully, the next Devilry Combat Tournament was right around the corner, giving Onyx the perfect opportunity to kill the Queen.

A month later, Queen Idaline prepared to defend her crown for the thirteenth time as the Devilry Combat Tournament commenced. Onyx entered the tournament, much to Idaline's dismay, but she trusted that he wouldn’t get far into the tournament. Onyx, however, proved stronger than she anticipated as he defeated all sages, knight and brawler he was put up against. Concerned that Onyx might prove to be a threat to her reign, Queen Idaline plotted to have Onyx assassinated during the tournament's downtime. Fortunately for Onyx, a mysterious Holy Woman by the name of Eleonora Lopez had been watching the events unfold from the sidelines. Eleonora was a nun who felt the Church had become corrupt via money and politics, and abandoned the teachings of God. Thus, she planned to aid Onyx in order to use him to gain control of the Church once he became Mayland's newest ruler. 

While Onyx slept unaware of the attempt on his life, Eleonora confronted his would-be assassin and mercilessly dispatched of him. The next day, Onyx reached the semi-finals and defeated his final opponent before facing off against Queen Idaline. Shocked that Onyx not only defeated his final opponent, one of the most renowned sages in Mayland, who most believed would be the one to challenge Idaline for her crown, Queen Idaline wondered who intervened on Onyx's behalf.. She knew from observing his battle that Onyx never encountered his intended assailant.

Furious, Queen Idaline's emotions got the best of her, so instead of waiting the following day to battle Onyx, she challenged him on the spot, hoping that the half-demon wouldn’t be one hundred percent because of his previous battle. Thus, an easy victory for her. Queen Idaline soon realized the folly of her decision. Despite some exhaustion from his previous battle, because Onyx had such powerful blood running through his veins, Onyx overcame Idaline's many fierce attacks and ruthlessly ended her life. 

Having avenged Tobirama, Donovan, and his other former guild mates because of Idaline's carelessness  Onyx then became Mayland of Earth 531's 126th ruler. Normally, such a role would frighten him because he didn’t have the experience nor did he ever have the desire to become a ruler. However, prior to his bout in the semi-finals, Onyx met face-to-face with Eleonora, who revealed her intentions and mentioned that she had slain the assassin sent to kill him. While Onyx detested all things related to the Church, he knew he could trust Eleonora or, at the very least, she was his best bet of having competent rulership. Upon becoming Mayland's newest ruler, Onyx made Eleonora his right-hand woman and elevated her from nun to Reverend Mother. 

The citizens of Mayland were outraged upon learning that their new ruler was a fucking half-demon, and began to revolt. Unfortunately for them, between Onyx's raw power and Eleonora's sadistic wits, the newly formed duo proved more than what the Mayland citizens could overthrow. Realizing that he would always be hated because of his half-demon blood, Onyx gave up all notions of being a loved and caring ruler. Instead, he become a tyrant, only caring about his own needs and, of course, Eleonora's. Despite their back and forth usually going in Eleonora's favor, she was the only real friend Onyx had now in this shitty fucking world. Before his tragic death, Tobirama did his best to reform Onyx but, at the end of the day, Onyx was raised by Telford Roux. Thus, Onyx would be a merciless ruler who had no qualms in taking whatever he desired, which included attractive men regardless of their sexuality or relationship status. It didn’t matter since he was now King and he made the rules.

TRIVIA

King Onyx Carousel is another Onyx variant but obviously one of evil intentions 

While in the Onyxverse there are a variety of different Onyx/Onyxes throughout various worlds, King Onyx Carousel is the dark mirror of Onyx Carnival of Earth 135. This is because of an origin similar to his, but it took a much darker turn, which was the foundation for Carousel being the sadistic ruler he is today

King Onyx Carnival embraces more of his human side whereas King Onyx Carousel embraces more of his demonic side. Thus, having the default eye color of red for a being with demonic blood whereas King Onyx Carnival has two different eye colors, one sky blue and the other one green

While King Onyx Carousel has a catalog of abilities as a demon, Carousel is well-versed in hand-to-hand combat, particularly using Greco-Roman style wrestling 

The blue and green wrist and ankle bracelets that King Onyx Carousel wears are the same colors of King Onyx Carnival's eyes

1. Red Rise: Alise performs a DP (Dragon Punch) like attack using her sword

2. Brutal Swipe: Alise performs an upwards slash attack

3. Despair: Alise shoots out a purple spirit-like projectile from her hand. Despair is a slow moving projectile and cannot be blocked. However the attack has NO HIT STUN. Upon hitting the opponent the chaotic energy from the projectile will chip away at their health points. The only way to remove this effect is to strike Alise or after a few seconds the effect will wear off

4. Painful Orb: Alise summons an orb of chaotic powers. The orb stays motionless for a few seconds before exploding into a big beam of chaotic energy. Depending if Alise performs Painful Orb using LIGHT or HEAVY buttons (Fighting Game Logic). Determines the placement of the orb

5. Iron Fall (In Air): Similar to Alise's Red Rise. Alise performs a downward stab attack when in the air towards the grounded opponent 

DIVINE RUINATION

A. Off With Their Head! - Alise strikes her opponent using her sword and after the first strike stuns the opponent. Alise creates a double of herself and both she and her doppelganger slash the opponent several times with their swords. Alise then finishes off the opponent by performing a slash to their neck

B. Wonderland Courthouse - Alise summons a red themed courtroom arena that removes any alignments against Alise (teammates as well if this is an RPG) and gives her a temporary boast for all her special attacks

Backstory

Helinda Carmichael, better known as "Helly", is the daughter of a Colombian woman and a Maylandian father. Helly's father, Mr.Carmichael moved to Colombia from Mayland several years prior, and that's where her father and mother met and fell in love. Four years later, Helly was born and lived a wonderful early life with her parents. Unfortunately, tragedy would strike as her mother would fall victim to a witch, leaving her father a widower and Helly without a mother. A year later, unable to cope with remaining in Colombia because it reminded him too much of his deceased wife, Mr. Carmichael would take his daughter and move back to Mayland. Helly, despite being heartbroken over her mother's death, quickly made new friends in her new home in Delaware due to her charisma.

Life was relatively normal for Helly. Her father worked as a chef at a popular restaurant, and she would attend regular schooling since he wanted Helly to have no involvement with magic. He feared his daughter would share the same fate as his late wife if she were to become a magic practitioner. Little did Mr. Carmichael know, Helly was a Natural, an individual that possessed magical powers from birth. This detail about Helly would remain unknown until one day she too would become a target of a malicious witch. The name of this witch was Krimlim Dicapio, and he possessed the ability to detect Naturals. Discovering that Helly's natural ability allowed her to copy a single individual's powers, Krimlim had planned to use Helly to duplicate the powers of the Goddess of Bitterness. He intended to have a vessel he could control in order to act in his many nefarious schemes against mankind.

One day, Helly was on her way home from school after having an argument with her boyfriend. Her mind was so fixated on their altercation that she became oblivious to her surroundings. This enabled Krimlin, who had been stalking Helly, to kidnap her. Fortunately, a surveillance camera caught footage of the struggle moments before Helly's capture. When the footage of the capture aired on the news in Mayland, King Onyx quickly acted to have Helly found and tasked Princess Hellin of Babylon to find and rescue her. He knew that Hellin was proficient at finding missing civilians and a powerful demon who can handle herself in practically any situation. Hellin spent hours retracing Krimlin's footsteps and using her telepathic abilities on unsuspecting civilians in order to find any possible leads of Krimlin's whereabouts. 

Hellin would discover that Krimlin was hiding within Rogue Town. Eventually finding the Witch's hideout within Rogue Town, Hellin confronted Krimlin, and the two would engage in battle. During Hellin and Krimlin's bout, Helly would awaken to the sight of a caramel-skinned, blonde-haired woman dressed in red battling that witch that kidnapped her hours prior. Noticing that the woman fighting her captor was a demon, Helly was scared that the demon had come here to eat her. Hellin, having sensed the girl's fear, swiftly sent her a telepathic message that she was here to rescue her and not to be a whiny bitch. Despite the demon's nasty demeanor, the girl knew the demon was genuine and was here to save her.

Witnessing the battle between Hellin and Krimlin, Helly's natural magical powers had awakened. However, due to the stress she was feeling, Helly's "xerox" ability had only worked partially and not as intended. Helly then discovered she can conjure up fire along with the ability to read emotions. At that moment Helly had realized not only did she possess magic of her own but had unintentionally copied Hellin's demonic abilities... well, some of them anyways. While inexperienced, Helly quickly used her newfound powers to assist Hellin in battle. Helly's involvement caused Krimlin to lose his concentration on battling the demon and gave Hellin the opening to kill him. 

Shortly after, Helly had returned safely to her father. Due to having imperfectly xeroxed Hellin hours prior, she not only gained her abilities (fire manipulation, reading emotions, durability, and regenerative abilities), but Helly unfortunately also copied Hellin's stoic persona. She became emotionally stunted despite becoming an empath. Now that Helly had unlocked the access to her magical powers, she was taken out of regular schooling and sent to a magical school in Arundel. While she gradually adjusted to her new life as a sage, Mr. Carmichael was devastated that his daughter was now a part of the magical world. Even worse, ever since that fateful day with Hellin, Helly had become overly independent. She ended up getting a job that she went to every day after school. Helly became emotionally distant from her father but nevertheless felt her father's sadness towards their disconnect and her possessing magic. Feeling no need to continue staying in Mayland, Mr. Carmichael would bid his daughter farewell and move to London. Learning about Helly's situation, King Onyx would act as a guardian to the young girl, going as far as to train her in combat and teaching her to hone her magical powers. Onyx even got Hellin involved with Helly's training since Hellin was the one whose powers Helly imperfectly copied. Hellin would also share the duty of acting as Helly's guardian whenever she wasn't busy with her own affairs. 

Years later, now being an adult, Helly would become a freelance Sage, often taking various missions assigned to her by Yura Mikan. She would often team up with Bevan Flores, which would lead to the two developing a strong working relationship. While far from the girl she used to be, thanks to the guidance of her guardians, Helly managed to become more emotionally open while retaining her more serious demeanor when on the field. Helly would even begin to communicate with her father again, who was having a wonderful life in London with his new girlfriend. Despite all the things that had happened to her life leading up to this moment, Helly was thankful she possessed the means to protect herself and others from the evils of the world.

TRIVIA

Helly is inspired by both Hellin Strongs the character Katarina Alves from the TEKKEN series.

Helly is also based on the concept/idea of a human version of Hellin Strongs.

A lot of Helly's attacks (seen in her skill set) are named after Reptilians. Oddly enough, Helly personally doesn't like or dislike reptiles. She just thought naming many of her attacks after reptiles sounded cool. 

The second reason behind naming Helly's attacks after reptiles was due to Katarina Alves from Tekken having many attacks named after Birds.

Helly had met Mignardis (the human form of Myrta, The Goddess Of Bitterness) a few months after becoming a freelance Sage. While the two women are neutral towards each other at best. Helly was glad that Hellin saved her on that fateful day, preventing her from copying Myrta's powers as her kidnapper intended. 

CHRIS LOTUS' THOUGHTS - I can always appreciate characters with interesting influences adopted from fighting game characters. In addition to that,  the nature of Helly's and her powers make for quite an interesting story about how things from the outside world can influence us and even affect our relationships with those around us, including even those we consider near and dear to us. Personally, I also feel like the nature of Helly's powers can be seen as a symbol/representation of how witnessing or experiencing what one would consider life-changing events (be it positive, negative, traumatic or cathartic) can significantly change and influence us.

Estelle Celosia is a young idol from Estonia. Despite her short time in the music scene, she's grown quite a fanbase with her musical prowess and natural charm. Born and raised in Tartu, Estonia, Estelle was the sole child of two sages. Despite being blessed with two loving parents, Estelle was very lonely due to her parents aiding their homeland from various threats, which kept them away from home. One day, Estelle was in her bed crying & pondering about her loneliness. She knew that she'd have to remain at the Children Care Center for the weekend while her parents patrolled their area. Suddenly, Estelle's body began to glow in a wondrous light. All of a sudden, a small portal opened before her. Appearing before her was a ruby-colored rabbit-like creature. Immediately, the teary-eyed creature ran over to Estelle and cuddled up in her arms. Estelle didn't feel alone anymore, because now she had acquired a friend. She would name her friend, "Rudy".

The following day, her parents had discovered their daughter had summoned a ruby-colored rabbit-like creature from another dimension and realized that their daughter is a natural (a Natural is a being who wasn't taught magic but was born with magical abilities). They promised to help their daughter hone her magical powers whenever they had free time with her. Now with Rudy by her side, Estelle didn't feel alone anymore when her parents were away at work. She would even start making friends with the other children at the care center, due to their fascination with her rabbit-like companion. Eventually, once Estelle was old enough to watch herself and, of course, Rudy, who too had matured over the years, Estelle's parents knew they could fulfill their duties knowing that their daughter was a capable young teenager. Becoming familiar with her summoner-based magic, Estelle would soon gain a new passion in life: singing. Listening to a lot of her favorite singers during her childhood years, Estelle would practice singing vigorously until she was certain her voice was up to par. Estelle would enter various talent shows throughout her teens. Regardless of whether she won or not, she always left her mark.

After finishing up her high school years, Estelle would be approached by an A&R representative who notified her about auditions taking place at Electric Volcano Records. Excited for an opportunity to get her big break, Estelle prepares herself for a potentially life-changing moment with Rudy by her side to cheer for her as always. Estelle is more than certain she will excel at the audition. While she placed second at the E.V. Records Talent Contest, the execs were so impressed by her that they decided to bend their own rule and sign Estelle alongside the winner, Trevor Tian. Upon returning home and telling her parents the exciting news, both Mr. & Mrs. Celosia were happy for their daughter but sad that she wouldn't pursue a higher education due to now becoming an idol. Regardless, they celebrated their daughter's achievement but told her that she needed to keep her magical skills up to par and not just solely focus on being a musician. Estelle assured her parents she would do no such thing, as she loved being a summoner as much as she loved being a singer. Afterwards, with Rudy forever by her side, Estelle was ready to take the world by storm.

TRIVIA

1. Estelle Celosia is another FORBIDDEN character that was originally an AI Art Adopt. I loved her design so much when having Estelle drawn by a proper artist (Nyacoii). I didn't change anything about her AI Artwork.

2. I intended to originally have Estelle be from Mayland, but decided to make her originate from Estonia instead. I felt I had too many characters who already were either from Mayland or had strong ties to it.

3. Estelle is my third singer type character to date added to FORBIDDEN. The two characters that predate her are Trickie Mirage and LAUREN, who is a member of Sonia Brightwood's guild .

4. Estelle is a summoner type character, and is very similar to Orsella Geno and Gabrielle Labarga. 

5. As stated in her profile, Estelle has mystical origins that I intend to expand upon as I continue growing the FORBIDDEN universe.  

6. I did consider making Estelle a princess from a neighboring country from Plutonia (Lea Stallard's homeland), but ultimately decided against it.

CHRIS LOTUS THOUGHTS - First off, the opening quote from Estelle (above)...I love it. Despite her becoming an idol, Estelle still has the potential to be quite the relatable character. We've heard stories of people still experiencing loneliness and isolation even whilst having things like fame and riches. Estelle's story is yet another example of how these kinds of feelings can be felt by all of us regardless of where we are in life. Not only that, but even in the midst of said feelings, it is possible to find ourselves a Rudy. We can find someone or something in the midst of our loneliness, that can encourage us to carry on and stay strong.

Backstory

Prior to becoming a part of the Magical Underworld (not to be confused with The Underworld, Realm of Demons), Jingxuan was a member of a small guild in his homeland of China. Ever since he was a child, Jingxuan was always curious about magic but hated how most sages limited their magical prowess to the confines of the law. Of course, he didn't perceive himself to be a "bad" person with the intentions of using his magic he learned properly. During his junior year in high school, Jingxuan, along with four other young Chinese sages, would form a temporary guild where they would be sent on various missions. Jingxuan didn't care for his allies but got along in order to further his understanding of magic and test various theories during his missions. However, one day during a battle against a male witch who had broken some sort of unknown law in China, Jingxuan and his teammates battled the powerful witch. The witch managed to subdue Jingxuan's allies, but Jingxuan managed to defeat the witch despite their power difference by utilizing his intellect. Once the elder sages came to arrest the witch, the witch whispered a spell that allowed Jingxuan to see his thoughts and learn the truth behind the reason for his capture. The so-called "witch" was not some individual who became corrupted by their own magic. Instead, they merely decided to learn more taboo magic that his allies didn't approve of but never had ill intentions with said magic. Desiring to only become more familiar with the very arts he loved, this caused great anger within Jingxuan. This caused him to not only leave his squad but his school in China as well. Jingxuan would finish out the remainder of his education in Hong Kong but no longer partake in guild activities and solely focus on gaining knowledge involving magic. 

During his college days in Hong Kong, Jingxuan mainly focused on his magical studies, education, and fitness. While surfing the net, Jingxuan unintentionally came across a forum for people who speak out against the limitations of magical usage from various countries. Going deeper, Jingxuan would join the forum before receiving an invite to meet a group of sages in a secret location. Intrigued by meeting sages who share similar ideologies to him, but knowing that people aren't always what they appear to be, Jingxuan made sure to have a backup plan ready. Upon arriving at the secret location, which was a cave within Taiwan, everything seems to be normal at first. Then all of a sudden, the group of sages is surrounded by Xavian and his forces. A battle erupts between the two groups as Jingxuan is forced to combine his smarts with his orthodox earth magic in order to aid his fellow sages. They are then rescued by Mei-hui, a wanted witch who uses her magic to distract Xavian and his forces. Jingxuan and the others had managed to escape from being captured, but not before receiving the brand as witches. While never his intention, Jingxuan did not care how society viewed those who simply wanted to further their knowledge on magic, regardless of if learning about certain magic was deemed "taboo." Jingxuan would then embrace the label of being a witch as he began operating in the Magical Underworld. In particular, he created a powerful magical energy drink named "Power Hazard," increasing one's magical potential upon drinking. Of course, Jingxuan had his own code of ethics that only witches who didn't act like savages were the ones he would associate with and do business with. Despite being labeled a witch, Jingxuan doesn't allow such a dehumanizing title to dictate his values. Instead, he views it as a blessing in disguise. For now, he can fully invest himself in expanding his magical knowledge without the restriction of so-called morally superior sages.

TRIVIA

1. Like a handful of my FORBIDDEN characters (such as Cecelia, Meredith, Gerasim, Bass, Liliana, and Caspian), Jingxuan was also originally an AI art adoptable that I transformed into a FORBIDDEN character. Jingxuan also received a minor change from his AI design to his official/hand-drawn artwork.

2. Jingxuan possesses one of the highest IQs in the Earth 135 universe.

3. I originally intended to make Jingxuan a European, but I felt I had too many of those. Thus, I decided to make Jingxuan Asian and from China. The name "Jingxuan" itself was chosen after I decided I wanted him to be Chinese. 

4. Jingxuan was drawn by arist Anne Luc, who also designed fellow Chinese characters Jia Xiaoyu & Shao Ziya (who is part Russian).

5. Despite being deemed a "witch," like many of his associates, Jingxuan didn't fall prey to his own powers. The reason he is deemed a "witch" is due to him performing an immoral act of obtaining knowledge that is viewed as taboo by the authorities of magic.

6. While proficient in magic. Jingxuan is skilled in the fighting style of Wushu.

CHRIS LOTUS THOUGHTS - Many of us can relate to having negative labels & discouraging words thrown at us when we decide to follow the passions of our hearts. I think Jingxuan's backstory does a solid job of representing that. Additionally, I believe Jingxuan exhibits how rebelling against norms has the potential to open doors. Seeing how he came to create "Power Hazard" reminds me of when people have had what others percieve to be crazy, insane or even sometimes impossible ideas that they manage to make into a reality.

Revenge: Helly holds up her left knee anticipating an attack. If hit by any standing physical attack. Helly will counter the attack and kick her opponent into the air while creating a stream of fire coming from her leg. Revenge does not work against projectiles, low strikes, throws, and air based attacks

UNIQUE

Lizard Bite: Helly performs a short ranged leaping knee strike attack. The attack does very low damage but is safe on hit or block

One Two Jab: Helly performs a right jab then follows up with a left jab. This attack is good for combo starters

Tower Fall: Helly performs a short ranged leaping elbow strike. It's an overhead attack that cannot be used for combos but useful for opening up overly defensive opponents

SPECIALS

1. Tuatara Knuckle: Helly performs a speedy but short ranged fire punch

2. Toxicofera Kick (During Tuatara Knuckle): Helly follows up her fiery punch with a fiery kicks

3. Crocodile Fang: Helly creates a whip of fire to strike her opponent

4. Cobra Spit: Helly shoots out a fireball from her palm

5. Dynamite Blitz: Helly goes into a unique stance and after a few seconds unleashes a powerful and unblockable jumping fire kick

Solar Rush: Helly performs several powerful kicks onto her opponent. Helly then ignites her right hand in flames and uppercuts her opponent into the air. While her opponent is suspended in the air. Helly creates a ball of fire in her left palm. She then tosses the fire ball at the airborne opponent and the ball explodes upon making contact
