Within the seventh level of The Underworld, the home realm of demons and other tainted beings. Tasked by Lady Johanna, the Demon Warlord of Pride and leader of the other Demon Warlords, Hellin Strongs could be seen donning her custom made red body suit that she received from her friend Princess Lea Stallard a few months prior. Hellin has been ordered to deal with a barnacle type demon named Colesta (Pronounced CO-LEE-STA). The demon Colesta has been feeding on the life force of the ancient giant demon tortoise of the seventh level of The Underworld. While it's only natural for demons to attack one another for various reasons, such actions against the ancient giant demon tortoise is forsaken and demons violating such rules must be harshly deal with. Upon arriving at the location of the demon tortoise, Hellin spots her target. A naked palish-green skinned demon with scales and barnacle features around her arms, abdomen, and thighs. Witnessing the demon tortoise's life force being drained by Colesta, Hellin swings her blonde hair out from her face as she conjures up a fireball in her left palm. Immediately Hellin hurls her fireball towards Colesta. While focused on feeding on the demon tortoise, Colesta senses the incoming attack and swiftly moves out of harm's way. Seeing her attacker across from her. 

Colesta: Wretched bitch! How dare you interrupt my feeding? I will kill you!

Hellin: Shut the fuck up you loathsome cunt! Don't you have any fucking shame? Attacking the sacred giant tortoise of our home realm? 

Colesta: Shame? Why would I feel shame for doing what comes natural to a demon? Furthermore, who are you to judge me? Daughter of Queen Othello! How many shameful acts does your mother perform on a daily basis?

Hellin: I'll rip your fucking head off if you mention my mother in such a manner again.

Colesta: Isn't that what you came here to do anyways. So why would I even bother mincing my words against you, Princess?

Hellin: You would have received a more dignified death before but now that you pissed me off! The death you'll receive will be anything but dignified.

Wasting no time, Colesta releases a turquoise colored acidic spray from her body towards Hellin. Easily dodging the enemy's attack, Hellin counters by blasting several fireballs towards Colesta. Quickly, Colesta unleashes a yellowish green foam substance from the pores of her body. The foam quickly hardens into a solid ball and protects against Hellin's fiery attack. Intrigued by her opponent's orthodox form of battle. Hellin decides to use her telepathic powers, not to take control of Colesta's mind but in order to get a better understanding of the target's combat capabilities. After all, if Hellin wanted to make this quick she could have already mentally enforced her will onto Colesta. Instead she wants to enjoy destroying her opponent with sheer force. Seconds later, Colesta breaks out from her created defense. Now with a more demonic and grotesque form than her prior appearance, the barnacle demon stares ferociously at Hellin with the desire to annihilate her. Hellin stares back with an unbothered expression on her face upon seeing Colesta's full demonic form, knowing full well this battle is about to end before it even started

Colesta: You stupid bitch! I'm going to drain the very fucking life out of your body but first... I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU WISH YOU NEVER CAME TO EXISTENT!!! TIME TO DIE!!!

Colesta charges at Hellin with the spores on her body, sprouting out several tentacles like appendages ready to strike. Hellin responds by igniting both of her hands in blueish yellow flames and leaping into the air. Colesta manipulates her tentacle-like appendages to strike the airborne Hellin, but fails to strike her as Hellin moves towards her like a torpedo. Colesta attempts to create a defensive foam around her body once again. Before she has the chance, Hellin crashes on top of her and pins her down in a provocative position

Hellin: Time to put an end to this.

Colesta: Yes for you!

Colesta release a toxin from the holes of her body onto Hellin but is horrified upon realizing her poison has no effect on the Princess. Hellin looks down at her with an amused wicked smile.

Hellin: Did you try to poison me? Oh you poor stupid bitch! I would explain why such tactics are useless against me but you lived long enough. Time to die!

Using her fiery infused fist, Hellin starts mercilessly beating on Colesta until she is no more. Afterwards Hellin checks on the Giant Demon Tortoise and ensure that he is alright, Now with her mission completed she makes her way back home to Babylon.

Meanwhile in Mayland, a place in the Mortal Realm, the home of both magical and normal humans, beasterians, orcs, fairies, goblins, and other unique beings, news of a fiery entity attacking unsuspecting citizens around Arundel and the Royal Lands has reached Mayland's current ruler, King Onyx. After collecting information on the various attacks, Onyx and his Royal Guards--particularly Yura Mikan-- have discovered that this fiery entity was none other than a Soucouyant, a terrifying being known through Caribbean Folklore that can shapeshift from a woman to a ball of fire. Initially Onyx considered to have Hellin, Orsela, and Scylla handle it. However, Yura demanded of her King to allow her to handle this matter. As night falls, a fiery entity is sneakily floating around The Royal Lands in search of its next victim. A blizzard suddenly appears from out of nowhere and hits the fiery entity. Immediately, the entity transforms into an African looking woman with long black hair and wearing a brown cloak. The blizzard ceases and appears a Japanese woman with short white hair and dressed in a black custom business suit. The Japanese woman stares at the shapeshifter with her cold icy blue eyes but her posture is relaxed. The Japanese woman then began to speak

Yura: So, you're the Soucouyant that's been causing trouble in Arundel and The Royal Lands?

Soucouyant: Ho- How did you track me down?

Yura: Your pattern was too predictable, but even if you were more clever it would not have mattered. I excel at always finding my target and you're no exception.

Soucouyant: Overly confident snake! You may be strong, but you will share the same fate as my other victims.

The Soucouyant transforms into a fiery humanoid being and lunges straight towards Yura. Without much effort, Yura dodges the Soucouyant's ferocious strikes, merely toying with her opponent using her advanced ninjutsu based movements. Angered, the Soucouyant says to Yura "Stop running away you coward!" as she continues trying to strike Yura.

Yura: Are you upset that you actually have to earn your kill instead of sneaking up on unsuspecting victims? I have no intentions of making this easy for you. Now foul creature show me what you're really capable of?

Soucouyant: Oh you're starting to piss me off with that belittling voice of yours. I would have preferred to feast upon your blood but burning you alive will have to suffice.

The Soucouyant, while in her flamed humanoid state, holds out both of her hands and unleashes a stream of fire towards Yura. The stream of fire moves at lightning speed and before Yura could make an attempt to run, her body is blasted by the flames. Soucouyant watches as the arrogant woman is being burned alive. Or so it seemed. Transforming back into her human form, the Soucouyant wears a perverse smile as she watches Yura being burned alive, blissfully unaware of the fact that she wasn't fighting the actual Yura but instead her shadow clone. Suddenly, the Soucouyant cries out in agonizing pain as she is struck from behind her back by an icy sharp object. Falling to the ground as blood drips down from her body, the Soucouyant turns her head and sees Yura standing over her looking ominously with a blade shaped icicle in her hand. The Soucouyant says in a shocked manner "Ho-- how are you here when I just burned you? What are you?"

Yura: Did you really think something like you would be able to kill me so easily? I awaited in the shadows while you fought my clone the entire time. I used my blizzard I created earlier to create my clone before hiding myself. Waiting for the right moment to finish you off! Now it's time for me to put an end to you.

Soucouyant: PLEASE WAIT?! I'm sorry for what I did and I deserve to be punished. However, isn't killing against the moral code against a hero like yourself? Truly you wouldn't actually kill me?

Yura: Hmph! You're funny. I do not subscribe to such a code and I personally think only fools spare the lives of monsters. No mercy was granted to any of your five victims which included a young boy. It only seems fair to give you the same treatment as you have given those you have harmed. Now choose your final words carefully for they will be your last!

Yura kills the Soucouyant by decapitating her head. Yura then calls Onyx via cellphone and asks her King to teleport to her location and bring her back to the castle.

Two days later after Yura had executed the Soucouyant, Onyx had received yet another unwelcome visit from his alternate universe self, Unloyal with a task from him. Normally Onyx wouldn't bother assisting Unloyal with anything since it was either trouble or straight up waste of his time. However after Unloyal explained to him about a situation in Earth 97 about a young soon-to-be King named Chiazam needing help dealing with his bigoted father in order to ensure a safe future for himself and the kingdom he is to inherit. Onyx, while empathetic to the strife of LGBTQ folks throughout the various universes, did not once again wish to burden himself with problems from worlds not of his own. Unloyal mentioned a particular journal that the soon-to-be King held that belonged to his late mother which Unloyal revealed was an alternate of them as well; the information was convincing enough that Onyx would want to read the contents of said journal should he could only obtain should he accept this task. Reluctantly Onyx agreed but warned Unloyal that he would kick his ass himself if this turned out to be bullshit! Having made up his mind to go to Earth 97 to meet with Prince "Unloyal calling him the soon-to-be King felt totally unnecessary but whatever". Of course before doing so, Onyx had used a technique called Psych Trace which allowed him to temporarily copy Unloyal's world jumping abilities. Bringing his best friend and right hand man, James Del Soto with him for both protection and company. The two of them would go to Earth 97 to meet with Prince Chiazam

Upon arriving to the foreign universe and after going through the proper channels. Both Onyx and James finally met face to face with Prince Chiazam, a tall and strong dark skin man dressed in regal red colored African attire. Shortly after Onyx and James would sit with Prince Chiazam in his private quarters and alongside the Prince was a butterscotch skinned muscular black male who were a similar outfit to Chiazam but purple instead of red. Without even having to rely on his telepathy, Onyx knew this man alongside Prince Chiazam was his lover. Chiazam's lover's name was Lolonyo. Unlike Prince Chiazam who possessed a domineering and prideful aura. His lover, Lolonyo possessed a strong but warm aura about him that made him seem very approachable. Onyx would have loved to get to know how they met and fallen in love but he wasn't here for such stories nor would he use his telepathy to invade their privacy. Because he already decided to alter the mind of Prince Chiazam's father, King Zuberi in order to ensure an easy transition of power for Chiazam. However Onyx was not acting off mere charity. Upon their discussion Onyx brought up the desire to have possession of Prince Chiazam's late mother's journal. Chiazam was stunned to see how much Onyx and his mother had resembled one another but he was equally surprised when he met Unloyal a few days prior. The Prince knew that Onyx wanted the journal in order to learn about his mother's knowledge concerning the ONYXVERSE. While heartbroken to have to part with the book his mother cherished. He understood that this was his part of the deal to ensure Onyx would deal with his bigoted father. In order that he can publicly be with Lolonya upon becoming King of his country. Onyx assured him that he'll take care of the journal and once he has absorbed the information with it. That he will someday return the book for Chiazam. In the meantime Onyx wished to return to his own world so set off to handle King Zuberi. Onyx told James to stay with the Prince and his lover until he returned. Shortly after completing his task by altering King Zuberi's mind on homosexuality. Onyx would use the remainder of Unloyal's powers and along with James and the journal return to his home world of Earth 135.

BACKSTORY

Yura Mikan was an assassin turned "Lady in Waiting" for Mayland's current ruler, King Onyx. Born in Kyoto, Japan in an isolated village of shinobis (ninjas), Yura alongside her brother, Ryo, were raised by their parents Oda and Nina Mikan. Alongside their fellow shinobis, Yura and her brother were taught to be proficient assassins and to honor the ninja code. One evening after returning home from a mission with her brother and father, Yura and her family learned from one of their senior shinobis that her mother and her squad of ninjas were slain in battle. This news caused Oda immense rage and from that day onward, life became more harsh for a still young Yura as her father's methods became more vicious in order to raise his children and the rest of the shinobis to not be failures like his dead wife. 

The life of a shinobi proved unbearably harsh, but Yura was determined to prove her worth, not only to her father, but to herself. However, Ryo began struggling to deal with the shinobi and plotted to run away. Approaching their adulthood, Ryo along with other young shinobi and kunoichis (a term for female ninjas) made their preparations to run away from their village. They knew that such actions were a grave violation of the ninja code, but they became tired of living under a strict regime and no longer wanted to endure such a life. Thus, while everyone was sound asleep, Ryo and other young shinobis made their move and began escaping the village. While nearly successful in their ventures, two of the elder guards spotted them and pursued the runaways. Ryo, refusing to allow himself or the others to get caught, used his ninja skills and slayed the two guards before making their escape. 

The next day Oda and his squad discovered the dead bodies as well as noticing that his son, Ryo, and several other ninjas were missing. Angered by this revelation, Oda rounded up a squad that he made Yura the leader of in order to find Ryo and the others. Yura agreed to track down her brother and the other runaway ninjas and bring them back to the village. It was under the condition that despite breaking the ninja code that they would not be killed without a fair trial. Oda reluctantly gave Yura his word that he would not immediately kill Ryo and the others upon their return to the village.

Three days later, Yura and her squad returned with Ryo and the other runaways, despite Ryo's plea to his elder sister. Yura ensured him that their father would not kill him and the other ninjas without hearing them out first. Ryo said to his sister that she was too trusting of their father and that he would betray her. Yura worried that he brother might be telling the truth, but couldn't quite bring herself to think her father would lie about such a thing. Shortly after the arrival of the runaway shinobis, Oda immediately called to have them executed for treason. Immediately, Yura confronted her father and demanded that he keep his word and listen to Ryo and the runaways first before taking such drastic actions. Oda delivered a merciless slap across Yura's face and told her if she dared defy him again that she'd be killed along with them. Yura was devastated that not only had her father lied, but that her baby brother was going to die. It was the first time since her mother's death that Yura cried as she watched her brother and the others be executed. Yura felt immediate regret for trusting her father, but that regret swiftly turned into rage. 

Yura plotted revenge on both her father and her fellow shinobis. A week later, Yura gathered five of her shinobis, the same shinobis who accompanied her to capture Ryo and the other runaways. Yura then killed them in order to use them for a ritual needed to bring down her village. Afterwards, Yura confronted the rest of her village as she used the shinobis she slayed to summon a vicious demonic snake known as Kuchisake-Onna. The demonic snake immediately massacred the shinobis, despite their best efforts to combat the creature. Meanwhile, Yura headed straight to her father to confront him in combat. Upon seeing his daughter, Oda drew his blade as he saw and felt her murderous intent. The two battled. Oda initially had the upper-hand, but the hatred within Yura's soul gave her the strength to push forward and she murdered her father in battle. Once her father was dead as well as the rest of the shinobis in the village, Yura, the last one standing, took her leave and shortly afterwards becomes a killer for hire.

The Second Devilry Combat Tournament/King Onyx's Reign

King Onyx is the first half-demon to ever rule Mayland despite his lineage and age. King Onyx proved himself to be a fair and loving ruler that many of Mayland's citizens, despite their prejudice towards his kind, loved and respected. However, there were many who simply despised having a demon or Cambion as their country's ruler and wanted Onyx dead! A man by the name of Dennis Greencloud, who was the biggest anti-Onyx citizen, hired Yura to assassinate the still young and inexperienced Cambion ruler. The plan was for Yura to enter King Onyx's second Devilry Combat Tournament. However, the intention wasn't for Yura to actually win the tournament, but to kill Onyx. That would allow Dennis and his cohorts to place someone they felt was deserving of being Mayland's next ruler, and certainly not a damn half-breed demon. 

The tournament began without a hitch as Onyx and James watched as the fighters battled one another to move one step closer to fighting Onyx for his throne. There were only eight fighters left in the tournament, including James and Yura. Of course, James wasn't competing for the throne, but to keep others from fighting Onyx. That night, Yura sneaked her way into Onyx's castle to assassinate him. Fortunately, James along with two regular guards spotted Yura and immediately engaged her in battle. Despite their best efforts, Yura gained the upper-hand and was about to decapitate James. Before she had a chance to strike, Onyx appeared and blocked Yura's attack and knocked her away from James and the others. Onyx then used his telepathy to subdue Yura despite her efforts to resist his mental control over her. While understandably agitated by the assassin's actions, instead of killing her immediately, Onyx decided to read her mind and see why she entered his castle uninvited. Learning that she was indeed an assassin hired to kill him, Onyx also learned of the woman's unfortunate past and her pain in having been the cause of her brother's death. Despite logic screaming at him to turn the woman's mind to mush, Onyx decided to spare her and simply told her to leave his castle. Yura remained a competitor in the tournament. Ever since Onyx spared her, Yura felt heavily conflicted.

The four remaining fighters secured their spot in the tournament as another day came to an end. During the night, Yura went walking through the market in the Royal Lands. Unbeknownst to her a fellow competitor by the name of Recluse, who was scheduled to battle Yura the following day, decided that she would kill Yura that night instead via a surprise attack. To Recluse's surprise, King Onyx appeared in the market, walked up to Yura, and grabbed her hand. Onyx then took Yura to explore the market with him. At first, Yura thought that Onyx was going to finish her off because of  her assassination attempt. To her surprise, Onyx wanted to get to know her better and show the woman some of the coolest spots in the market to visit. The two talked and they began to understand each other better. That was the moment Yura made up her mind not to go through with killing Onyx. She was even prepared to tell Onyx that she was going to withdraw from the tournament. At that moment, Recluse made her move. She unleashed several highly poisonous needles towards Yura. Instinctively, Onyx jumped in front of Yura and was struck by the multiple needles instead. Seeing that her attempt to take out Yura failed, Recluse ran off into the night as Yura hurried Onyx back to the castle. 

James and the other guards were on high alert when they saw Yura with Onyx. James also noticed that Onyx looked rather pale as Yura explained that they were attacked. Onyx swiftly confirmed Yura's story to keep James from losing his shit. While being part-demon ensured Onyx survived the poisonous attack, he still needed to take a remedy and allow his demonic blood to heal him with proper rest. That meant that Onyx would not be one hundred percent when it was time to defend his throne. It was that very moment Yura declared herself as Onyx's "Leading Lady" and would devote herself alongside James in defending Onyx's throne. James personally didn't trust the assassin, but Onyx and Yura created their own unique bond during their short time together. Onyx had Yura's full trust and vice versa. 

The last day of the tournament arrived and James defeated his opponent and Yura battled Recluse. The assassin not only knew it was Recluse who attacked Onyx and her at the market the night before, but Yura also knew that Recluse wanted to avoid a direct confrontation with her. She was now ready to make the poison using Sage pay with her life. Yura decimated Recluse in battle and beat her within an inch of her life before she was carried away by Emergency Medical Technicians. Dennis then appeared within the audience as he anticipated the battle between Yura and James. To his surprise, Yura publicly declared herself as the second protector of King Onyx and that there was no other competitor in the tournament who threatened Onyx's reign. Immediately, Dennis ran onto the battlefield and confronted Yura for her betrayal. Regardless of the man's harsh words, Yura had no intention of going back on her word. Realizing that Yura was as committed to protecting Onyx as he was, James hurled a blast of fire at Dennis. He began screaming in agony as the flames consumed his body into nothingness.

The second Devilry Combat Tournament concluded and Onyx would remain Mayland's ruler for another ten years. Yura became Onyx's official "Leading Lady", the female equivalent of the King or Queen's right hand man, a position that James currently occupied. Yura turned out to be a devoted protector and friend of King Onyx, and helped him run Mayland. Thanks to the combined efforts of the trio, Onyx would rule Mayland for many years to come as he had multiple successful throne defenses for every ten years a Devilry Combat Tournament was held. While Yura's old self still remained within her, thanks to the kindness Onyx showed her, Yura decided to follow a new path in life in an effort to rectify the cruelty of her past.

TRIVIA

Yura Mikan is a Japanese woman, but is 1/4 Ecuadorian since her mother, Nina is half-Japanese and half-Ecuadorian. Her father Oda is a full-blooded Japanese man.

One of Yura's alias "Icy Hearted Snake" is inspired by singer/dancer Paula Abdul's song "Cold Hearted".

Yura's inspirations are Christie from the Dead or Alive series, Crimson Viper from the Street Fighter series, Black Orchid from Killer Instincts and lastly, general assassin archetype inspirations.

Another one of Yura's alias "Yuki-Onna" is inspired by Japanese mythology of a woman who possessed the ability to freeze her victims.

The gigantic snake that Yura summoned to slay her fellow shinobis is named Kuchisake-Onna, another creature from Japanese mythology. Kuchisake-Onna is a woman whose mouth had been cut open from both corners of her mouth and she carries a pair of scissors. Kuchisake-Onna wears a mask to hide her disfigurement and from those who unfortunately encounter this malevolent being. Kuchisake-Onna will ask them if she's "pretty". If the individual responds with "No", Kuchisake-Onna will kill them immediately. If the person responds with "Yes", Kuchisake-Onna pulls off her mask and reveals her disfigurement. If the person still responds with "Yes", Kuchisake then uses her scissors and gives her victim the same disfigurement she has. The way to avoid either cruel fate is to respond to Kuchisake-Onna's question with either "So so", "Average", or give her hard candy. Anything else would result in one's death or disfigurement. Yura's demonic snake possesses the same disfigurement, which she uses to swallow a multitude of victims.

Yura is a bisexual woman with a preference for women.

While unintentional on both their parts, Yura and Onyx have a mother-son relationship despite Onyx being older than Yura.

Yura's mother original name was going to be Michiko, but I decided on Nina when I made Yura's mother only half-Japanese.

MINI BIO - Prior to becoming King Onyx's Right Hand Woman. Yura Mikan was once a deadly assassin hailing from a clan of ninjas from Japan. Trained by her parents to become to perfect killer. After killing her father for his betrayal as she reached adulthood. Yura would kill several more of her fellow shinobis before going on her own and becoming a killer for hire. During King Onyx's second crown defense better known as The Devilry Combat Tournament which takes place every ten years. Yura was hired by a man name Dennis Greencloud who hated Onyx with a passion to enter the tournament and kill Onyx. During the second night of the tournament, Yura had managed to sneak inside of King Onyx's castle in order to assassinate him. Unfortunately Yura was caught by James and two other guards within the castle was forced to battle them

 While Yura managed to get the best of James and the two guards. Onyx heard the commotion and confronted the assassin. While Yura tried her best, she was no match for Onyx. Upon her defeat she expected Onyx to finish her off. However upon taking a look into her mind. Onyx couldn't bring himself to kill her and told Yura that he understands her pain since he too lost a parent that was very dear to his heart. Having her life spared by Onyx due to him relating to her loss. Yura began feeling conflicted in following through with her mission to kill Onyx. Eventually during the semi finals of the Devilry Combat Tournament. Yura would turn on Greencloud and kill him before dropping out the tournament. Thus Onyx kept his title as Mayland's current ruler. Sensing that Yura was contemplating in taking her own life in order to finally end her life of hatred and be reunited with her mother Michiko. Onyx by reading her mind had convinced Yura that killing herself is the cowardly way out and instead should join him as becoming a defender of people in Mayland. Yura decided to join King Onyx thus becoming his Right Hand Woman

FREE STORY - King Onyx Versus Lisbeth The Sick

 King Onyx vs Lisbeth the Sick 

In his pink themed bedroom, King Onyx lay naked in his bed surrounded by his various stuffed animals. Wearing his sky-blue headphones, he listened to one of his favorite podcasts on his laptop. King Onyx caught a whiff of marijuana coming from downstairs in his castle. A smile ran across his face. Not because of the marijuana, the King didn't indulge in that type of thing, but because of who was the source of the marijuana. It was Herrera, a friend and one of his top agents. Herrera was the Chilled Black Samurai or who the King jokingly referred to as "The Old Weeboo". Even without using his telepathy, Onyx knew Herrera would knock on his door. Quickly grabbing the sheet hanging off the left corner of his bed, King Onyx placed it over his bare ass so Herrera wouldn't see him butt-naked yet again. Onyx couldn't care less who saw him naked, but Herrera was heterosexual. Plus, he had a tendency to just barge into the King's room since the two of them have known each other for many years. Herrera had competed in the third Devilry Combat Tournament during Onyx's current reign as King Of Mayland. The two of them had become close friends because of their mutual love of video games, particularly fighting games. Despite Herrera only earning third place in the tournament. Onyx recognized the man's fighting potential and decided to make him one of his agents alongside James, Yura, and several others.

Seconds later, the door to his room opened. Of course, it was none other than Herrera, standing in front of his door with a blunt sticking out his mouth and wearing his usual urban samurai styled getup with his sword to the right side of him. Upon making eye contact with his King, the tall dark-skinned muscular man took another pull from his blunt before putting it out in order to give his report on his recent assignment.

Herrera: Good morning, Onyx.

King Onyx: Herrera... you know I don't like the smell of marijuana in my room.

Herrera: My bad.

King Onyx: So, how did everything go in Finland?

Herrera: It was good, I guess. Managed to locate their mischievous Sages over there before I kicked their asses and handed them over to the authorities. Kara said to thank you for sending me to help bring the troublesome Sages to justice. Kara should've been thanking me, though, since I'm the one who actually had to track them down and shit.

King Onyx: I'll be sure to shoot Kara a message later today, but thank you, Herrera, for being willing to go over there and help Kara find those troublesome Sages. I'm just glad that Finland is a relatively peaceful country. Sadly, villainy exists everywhere in this world. Anyways, unless you have something else to report to me, I'm going to get back to listening to Gigi's podcast until I'm ready to go downstairs and have breakfast. In the meantime, you can ask one of the chefs to cook you something unless you just want to go play your newest fighting games. Yura should be back from her errand soon and James and Anna are out on an mission alongside Hellin, Orsela, and Scylla. Anyways, glad you made it back home safe, dude. Unless some world-wide crisis takes place, you have the rest of the day off.

Herrera: Sounds good to me Onyx but there's one thing I feel like I should tell you. Before I left Finland, Kara mentioned bizarre and pretty fucking terrible things happening in Norway as of late. Several children have gone missing. The authorities think it has something to do with a demon. However, Kara thinks it's something else, but who fucking knows really. Everybody and they auntie are too afraid to do any real investigating.

King Onyx: Norway and children going missing? Funny you mentioned that since that's the very topic being discussed on the podcast. I'm curious to know what's exactly happening in Norway, especially to those poor children.

Herrera: Yeah, it sucks, but what's going on in Norway is not your problem, Onyx, nor should you make it your problem. Hell, to be truthful, I had no business in Finland, but someone likes to make friends abroad and make their friend's problem their own.

King Onyx: Dude, please, and besides weren't you the one telling me how bored you were just being in Mayland lately?

Herrera: Fair enough. Anyway, I'ma have some food cooked for me then get some sleep. Probably stream later today if no crazy ass shit goes down. If it does, just ask Yura or Hellin to handle it. Later, Onyx, and don't get yourself involved in shit that doesn't concern you, especially on your day off to relax,

King Onyx: Later, Herrera, and I promise to take it easy today... at least try.

Herrera bade King Onyx farewell before exiting his room. He went downstairs to ask the chefs to make him something to eat. Seconds after Herrera exited his room, King Onyx removed the sheet that was covering his ass and resumed listening to the podcast. Learning more about the recent tragedies that's been happening in Norway, Onyx couldn't help but become more concerned about the situation; especially the possibility of the culprit being a demon like himself. Few corners of the world accepted demons. Most places viewed them as ungodly fiends who prey on beings of the mortal world. Onyx knew how hard demons and even half-demons, like himself, work to encourage the public to be more accepting of demons. Despite having zero obligations to worry about anything going on in Norway, the King felt he would be less of a man if he didn't do something about the situation happening in that country; especially if indeed a demon was responsible for the spree of missing children in Norway.

Yura was still away on assignment. James and company were still on their mission. Knowing that the rest of the residents within his castle would be none the wiser of his plans, King Onyx quickly cleaned himself up and dressed by using a bedazzle spell taught to him by Queen Othello. Once dressed in his signature revealing pink outfit, the King opened a portal in his bedroom and appeared seconds later in a desired location in Norway. Standing in a forest, Onyx used his telepathic powers to scan the area, He only sensed the usual wildlife surrounding him, which he desired. The last thing he wanted was for someone to spot the King of Mayland wandering around a forest in Norway unannounced. Remembering the description of the forest from the podcast he listened to earlier where the children reportedly went missing, Onyx recognized this place as the dreaded Umber Forest. According to the podcast, there was an abandoned manor located northeast of the Umber Forest. Unafraid of what dangers may lie ahead, Onyx proceeded to the location of the manor. Minutes after he began his journey, Onyx spotted the abandoned manor a few feet ahead, along with picking up the presence of another within the forest. Fortunately, he sensed that it was the mind of a child and thankfully, one that was alive.

Onyx proudly patted himself on the back for making the right decision to travel to Norway instead of remaining in the comfort of his castle. He then revealed his presence to the young girl in the forest before she ended up sharing the fate of the other children who went missing upon entering this forest. Onyx calmly yelled out hello as a young girl no more than 8-years-old stepped out before him. She had ashen blonde hair and wore an adorable light-yellow dress with sneakers to match. Upon seeing the flamboyant man in pink, the young girl stared back at him nervously. To assure the young girl that he meant her no harm, Onyx knelt on his right knee as he introduced himself. He used the name "Alex" instead of his actual name, just in case somehow this girl might've known who he was had he used his real name.

Alex: There's no need to be afraid of my, little one. I mean you no harm, but you must know this is a very dangerous place for little kids like you. It's a good thing I got here when I did otherwise something bad may have happened to you. Now, you wanna tell me your name?

The girl still hesitantly stared at Onyx despite how non-threatening he came off. Not wanting to use his telepathy on her quite yet, Onyx decided on another approach to get the young girl to open to him.

Alex: Oh, you're shy... I was pretty shy myself when I was your age... man, that was a long time ago. Hey, tell you what, if you tell me your name, dear, I'll buy you some dessert after I bring you home to your parents. Please don't be afraid of me and tell me your name.

The little girl finally gave in.

Annie: My name is Li-- it's Annie!

Alex: Oh, my that's an adorable name for a little angel like you. Now, Annie, how about you show me the way home back to your parents?

Annie: Oh Mister... I kinda got myself lost coming here, so perhaps you can lead the way instead?

Alex: Oh, okay, sweetheart, that won't be a problem at all. Just give Mr. Alex a few seconds to remember how he got here as well.

Onyx could've easily created a portal to take Annie and himself to the city area of Norway, and just leave her to the proper authorities to bring her home. Instead, he decided to use his telepathy on Annie to telepathically retrace the girl's steps on how she arrived at the Umber Forest, and simply take them back the opposite direction. Upon looking into Annie's mind, Onyx was met with a horrifying truth that brought him both terror and rage. Realizing the little girl standing before him wasn't really Annie, but a sinister witch by the name of Lisbeth who had taken over Annie's body. Seeing the expression on Onyx's face, Lisbeth realized that not only was "Alex" not who he said he was, but that he possessed telepathic powers and discovered her true identity.

Lisbeth: Damn it all! I knew there was something unusual about you, especially in those flamboyant ass clothes of yours. Filthy telepath! How dare you invade my mind!

King Onyx: Witch! So, you're the one responsible for the missing children. I'm going to make you fucking sorry you were ever born!

Lisbeth: You will do nothing but die, foolish man! May you be devoured by the very ground you stand upon!

Lisbeth's right hand glowed in a greenish-brown aura as the ground beneath Onyx grabbed a hold of him and started to suck him in.

King Onyx: What in the world! Am I being swallowed by the ground?

Lisbeth: It's a lovely little spell of mine that will be your demise. If you weren't so old, I would've eaten you like the children I made venture into this forest by using my dark magic. Fortunately, I was able to lure a child named Annie here an hour before your meddling ass arrived, and the child proved to be a suitable host for a new body. Unlike the others before her who weren't suitable, and I ended up sacrificing their worthless souls to my manor.

King Onyx: This makes absolutely no fucking sense! Why would a woman as capable as yourself need to possess the body of an innocent child, let alone lure children to this damn place and kill them?

Lisbeth: Not that it's any of your business but if you must know, many years ago I was cursed by a fellow witch who made my original body decay. Thus, I went searching for ways to reverse the curse and once I failed to do so, I sought out other ways to keep myself alive until I found another worthy of starting a new life, which was little Annie. As for the other little bastards I sacrificed, they were only to slow down the effects of my curse along with empowering the curse powers within my manor. Speaking of that witch who cursed me ... you kind of remind me of her, which is why I'm going to enjoy your death. Sadly, I won't be able to watch you die as I need to handle one final loose end before starting my new life. Farewell "Alex" or whatever your fucking name is. Not that it will matter in a few minutes.

Lisbeth then vanished before Onyx's eyes. Seconds after, the coast was clear. The King used his water magic to create a geyser beneath his feet to spring himself out of the ground. He made sure the geyser was only big enough to help him escape the death trap created by Lisbeth, but not visible to be spotted outside of the forest. Onyx then created a portal to appear right outside the manor. The King barged inside and went looking for Lisbeth, and hopefully find the real Annie before it was too late. After making his way up the long staircase and using his telepathy to locate Lisbeth's whereabouts, Onyx found his target. She appeared standing before a completely bald-headed, grotesque looking woman wearing a tattered plum colored dress with various areas of her skin peeling off. Onyx immediately realized that the grotesque woman on the ground was the real body of Lisbeth with Annie's soul trapped inside. Shocked to see "Alex" inside her manor, the angry Lisbeth turned her attention away from Annie to confront him.

Lisbeth: Impossible! How in the hell did you fucking escape my death trap?

King Onyx: I'm much more capable than you can imagine, you disgusting bitch! Annie, sweetie, everything is going to be okay now. I'm here now to make things right.

Lisbeth: And how will you do that, you stupid bitch! I'm already in possession of the girl's body while she slowly dies inside my decaying body. Unless you know the correct spell to reverse what I've done, there's nothing you can do to save this little girl from suffering the fate that was placed upon me. Instead, the two of you will die in this place together!

King Onyx: You're a real piece of shit and a dumb one at that! Why would I need a spell when I'm a fucking telepath! I can just force you to switch bodies back with Annie, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Swiftly, Onyx's duo-colored eyes glowed as he took possession of Lisbeth's mind within Annie's body. Despite her efforts to resist Onyx's mind control, the witch was unable to fight back as Onyx successfully forced Lisbeth to swap bodies back with Annie. Once Annie's soul was back inside her body, the girl instinctively ran towards Onyx. He held his arms out to pick up the little girl. Lisbeth, now back in her correct decaying body, stared menacingly at Onyx and Annie.

Lisbeth: N--ot F--air... NO--TTT FAIIIR! I-- I de--served...

Lisbeth's speech was hardly intelligible because of the effects of her curse.

King Onyx: Not fair these nuts, you fucking witch! I don't know exactly why you were cursed in the past but based on your actions here, it's obvious you fucking deserved it! You killed so many children you killed along with nearly succeeding in stealing this girl's life for your own selfish reasons. Now, I'm going to make sure you die here. Annie, sweetie, I'm going to take you home, but I need to get rid of this bitch first for good.

While holding onto Annie with his right hand, King Onyx used his left hand to shoot a blob of water at Lisbeth. The blob of water quickly covered Lisbeth's body whole before King Onyx closed his left hand. The water crushed Lisbeth, putting an end to the witch for good. Seconds after Lisbeth's death, the manor began to crumble. It didn't faze King Onyx as he opened a portal for Annie and himself to escape the manor's destruction.

After finishing up in Norway, he opened a portal back to his bedroom. Upon stepping out of his portal, Onyx spotted Yura, Herrera, and his other agents: Meghan and Red standing in his bedroom with their arms folded in disapproval. They learned from Herrera that Onyx went off to investigate the situation in Norway, which he had no business doing as the King of Mayland! Despite knowing he did the right thing, the King remained silent as he prepared to receive his tongue lashing from Yura and the others.

Yura: So, Your Majesty, instead of enjoying your day off, as you were supposed to, you decided to take your ass to Norway and meddle in a situation that had nothing to do with you, let alone in your jurisdiction?

Herrera: I knew your ass was going to end up going to find out what happened to those children in Norway.

Meghan: For crying out loud, Your Majesty! When you have a day off... actually have a day off!

Red: Yeah, boss, just because you're a super badass half-demon doesn't mean you fucking run off to every goddamn problem happening around the world.

King Onyx: Y'all done?

Yura: No! Because while I know you meant well, as you always do and you probably actually accomplished something while over in Norway, that is no excuse for you to run off to solve problems that don't concern you. God forbid if something happened to you.

King Onyx: Holy shit. Well, forgive me for giving a damn about others.

Yura: Nothing wrong with caring about others, Your Majesty, and you know I appreciate your kind soul. It's what made me change my ways and come and serve you. I also know as a King, your responsibility is to your people first, Onyx. You're the King of Mayland, and not the entire world. How many times must we have this conversation?

King Onyx: Until I'm dead, Yura, until I'm dead.

Red: There's really no use in scolding our boss, guys. At the end of the day, he's going to do what he wants whether we approve of it or not.

Meghan: Pretty much just like Miss Hellin.

King Onyx: Now, will the four of you please leave my room, so I can get naked and catch up on my podcast.

Yura: That's fine, Your Majesty, but no more excursions for the rest of the day. And, you're also taking tomorrow off to have a legitimate off day. Your dinner will be ready in about a half-hour. Anyway, let's take our leave, gang. I know you mean well, Your Majesty, and you are one of the most powerful beings of this realm; however, as a King, you have a responsibility to your people and cannot make the world's problems your own. As much as it hurts for you to hear this, you can't save everyone.

A former assassin for hired turned into King Onyx's right hand woman. Yura was hired to enter the 5th Devilry Combat tournament during Onyx's reign in order to kill him. Fortunately when Yura had attempted to murder the King during the tournament. Not only did she fail but thanks to the King's telepathic powers. Onyx had learned of Yura's rough past and forgave her if she promised to serve him. Shortly after alongside her comrade and friend James. Yura has made her life's mission to serve Onyx as long as he remains King Of Mayland
