Many Many Millennium Ago

There once was a girl named Alita who was part of a Native tribe called the Passion Tribe. While many of the people within the tribe wielded great powers, only Alita possessed abilities greater than any other among her tribe. Sadly, Alita's life would be a short one. Only a few days after her thirteenth birthday, a terrifying demonic dragon, known as Gortos, emerged from the Underworld and attacked the people of her tribe. Using her special powers, Alita sacrificed herself in order to slay the dragon and save her people from becoming extinct. Upon Alita's mortal death, instead of her soul traveling to the Spirit Realm, Alita's soul went to Mystilia, the Realm of Gods and Goddesses, where it remained for many centuries to come.

Many Many Millennium Later

A woman named Palotta was a resident of the state of Ariso. Palotta was a descendant of the legendary Passion Tribe and despite her incredible beauty, Palotta had a rather awkward personality, which made it difficult for her to find a potential husband. That, along with the fact she owned a thrift shop that she ran by herself. Over time, Palotta had given up on finding a suitable husband, yet the desire to become a mother never once left her. One night, Palotta prayed that she could have a child of her own before she fell asleep. During the night, the spirit of Alita heard Palotta's prayers and miraculously exited Mystilia. The spirit ventured into the Mortal Realm and into the body of the sleeping Palotta. Less than a few weeks later, Palotta became pregnant. The woman was beyond happy that, despite her lackluster love life, she would now have a child of her own. Months later, Palotta gave birth to her daughter who she named Mona.

Thanks to her loving mother, Mona grew up in a very happy environment despite the many dangers within her world. As Mona grew older, she began displaying a variety of powers that Palotta helped her daughter to master, along with the assistance of local sages. After school, Mona helped her mother run the thrift shop. Following years of positive influences, despite knowing the bad things that happened in her world, Mona was inspired to also become a protector of the Mortal Realm. She decided to find others who shared her desire to help those in need. Bidding her mother and hometown friends farewell, Mona first enlisted to become a registered Sage by the Mayland government before going on a journey to find suitable teammates to help her combat various villainy.

4. Mona's fashion is what I call "Lightcore Goth", being a more serene version of goth fashion.

5. Mona facially resembles R&B singer Aaliyah.
