Powers: Vritra wields a sharp two-bladed weapon on her right hand called Viper Fang. The weapon allows her to slash at her opponent(s), shoot out venomous energy beams, and can create a miniature shield for protection. Vritra also possesses superhuman durability, dexterity, immunity to manmade poisons, and a high IQ, telepathic resistance

Backstory

Before becoming the transformed killer known as Vritra, Eshana Bhatti was once a normal girl raised by loving parents. Being the daughter of scientist, Muhammed Bhatti, she lived a relatively comfortable life. She was unaware that her father worked for a shady syndicate that forced him to do the unthinkable. The syndicate desired individuals for experimentation in order to create the perfect soldiers they could use to combat both sages and demons that stood in their way. However, the past test subjects the syndicate experimented on died because they were unable to handle the inhuman modifications to their bodies. Since the syndicate held Dr. Muhammed responsible for the failed experiments, the scientist would either have to find someone who would survive the experimentation or he would be killed. 

Deciding to do the unthinkable, Dr. Muhammed had both his wife and daughter kidnapped, believing that both, or at least one of them, would survive the experiment. Both Eshana and her mother were tested upon. It seemed that Eshana would be the one to die and her mother would survive. The mother whispered a prayer and all of a sudden her body began to break down while Eshana adapted to the modifications made to her body. The guilt of using his loved ones as Guinea pigs ate away at his conscience. Dr. Muhammed was relieved that his daughter survived the experimentation and became the first successful manmade warrior for the syndicate. Given the code named VRITRA, Eshana was trained to be a ruthless assassin, killing anyone the syndicate commanded her to eliminate.

Years passed and Vritra became a more proficient killer, whether working alone or with a squad of her own. One day, Vritra was sent on a mission to assassinate a woman named Mana Thompson who was running for Governor in Silia City, one of the seventy-five states within Mayland. Mana's opposition was a man named Davide Tart, who knew of the syndicate and had paid them to send their best agent to get rid of his opponent. Vritra was confronted by the heroes: Hellin Strongs, August Starfinder, Scylla Baros, and Romeo N'al who were hired as bodyguards for Mana. Despite her best efforts, Vritra couldn’t slay the heroes and they forced her to retreat. Hellin managed to break through the assassin's telepathic resistance and learned that she worked for a syndicate located in India. Shortly after dealing with Mr. Tart, Hellin alerted King Onyx and shared what she discovered. 

Onyx dropped the heroes off in India to put an end to the syndicate. Hellin and her team mercilessly wiped out the syndicate and most of their agents, but King Onyx told Hellin to spare Vritra's life because they both knew she was transformed into a killer against her will. Hellin didn't much care, but she kept her word to Onyx. After the vast majority of the syndicate members were slain, with a few escaping, Hellin brought the injured Vritra and her father back to Mayland.

Vritra's rehabilitation began when Onyx used his telepathic powers to reverse the years of damage the syndicate did to Vritra's mind. Also, Vritra learned the truth of what her father had done to both her and her mother. She attempted to take his life but was stopped by August Starfinder. August felt her father deserved to be in jail and live with the guilt of his reprehensible actions. August assisted Onyx in Vritra's rehabilitation until they felt she was right enough in her mind to live life as she pleased. Refusing to let her skills go to waste, August encouraged Vritra to join Mayland's Hero Syndicate. Vritra join the H.S. and used her deadly skills to do good while coping with her past trauma.

Vritra’s name is based on the mythological dragon from Hindu mythology.

Vritra speaks with a thick and attractive Indian accent. 

Vritra is very anti-social and keeps her interactions with others to a minimum. However, she has come to appreciate August Starfinder's company when they’re on missions.

Vritra enjoys spending time with her pet Kingsnake, Blue. 

Sometimes in her spare time, Vritra tries to find out what happened to the surviving members of the syndicate.

Along with her modified abilities and usage of Viper Fang, Vritra is skilled in several martial arts.
