BACKSTORY

Xavian is the only son of the influential Mr. Ren Ceng and Mrs. Renee Ceng. Renee is a German woman who Ren met years ago during a trip to Iraq and married shortly thereafter. Xavian also has a younger sister named Miya whom he and his parents care for dearly. Growing up, Xavian knew of his father's duties in running a special unit within their country called T.D.A. (Taiwan Defense Agency). The organization's responsibility is mainly to protect Taiwan from all domestic and foreign threats. Inspired by his father's duties to defend their country, Xavian began thinking of ways that he, too, could protect his people. He was a very bright child with wisdom beyond his years who understood a variety of magic, but had no interest in any of them. Xavian also has an impeccable love for technology and thus decided to use his knowledge in both fields to create his own magic. Xavian successfully created his own type of magic by using metallic cybernetic cards infused with magic, which he simply named Tech Cards. Xavian also implanted a miniature computer system within his own body in order to use his magic without fault.

Meanwhile, in another part of Taiwan, there was a young, rebellious boy by the name of  Chia-Hao who was constantly engaged in fights. Raised solely by his mother after his father died in a street fight some time ago, Chia-Hao loved his mother dearly but because of his headstrong personality, often found himself fighting every day after school. Chia-Hao continued getting into fights until one day his enemies attempted to jump him. Thankfully, a middle-aged man had intervened on his behalf, saving Chia-Hao from an otherwise brutal beating. After chatting with the boy and understanding his childhood pains, the older man made Chia-Hao promise to avoid trouble and he would teach him how to become a more proficient fighter. Every day after school, Chia-Hao received training from the older man who taught him more advanced battle techniques and how to manipulate chi energy.

Chia-Hao continued training with his Sensei until one day he simply disappeared. While sad that his Sensei disappeared without saying a word, Chia-Hao was thankful for what he learned from him and got through his remaining school years. After graduating high school, Chia-Hao pursued a career in becoming a professional fighter.

Thirty years later, Xavian was now the head of T.D.A. and his first major assignment was to track down a witch by the name of Shen Gui. The witch was a Cambion and was responsible for dispensing illegal narcotics to young sages around Taiwan that made their magical powers go haywire. Xavian and his team needed to track down Shen Gui before his nefarious schemes worsened and extended to other parts of the Mortal Realm. Xavian and his team traced Shen Gui to an Underground Fighting Tournament within Taipei City. However, upon reaching the location of the Underground Fighting Tournament, which was ran by Shen Gui, Xavian and his team were ambushed by Shen Gui's henchmen. Only Xavian escaped with his life. Trapped underground and having to keep a low profile since he wouldn't be able to call for back up, Xavian formulated a plan to survive and bring Shen Gui to justice. He soon found an unexpected ally in a fighter named Chia-Hao. Along with Shen Gui's crime of selling narcotics to impressionable sages, he was also responsible for kidnapping several fighters in Taiwan, including Chia-Hao. He forced the kidnapped fighters to compete against one another purely for his entertainment. 

Shortly after Chia-Hao won his third battle in the Underground Tournament, he went to the locker room to clean up. There he encountered Xavian. Xavian conversed with the fighter and explained his situation to him. The two men decided to work together in order to escape. The two men felt something else upon meeting each other. It didn't take long for them to accept their mutual attraction. Xavian and Chia-Hao formed an unbreakable bond during their short time together and combined their abilities. The lovers brought an end to Shen Gui. Chia-Hao defeated the ringleader while Xavian dealt with his henchmen. Afterwards, the two became the perfect combination of brain and brawn as they swore to relentlessly protect their homeland.

TRIVIA

1. Xavian & Chia-Hao were inspired by the characters Chiu Tzuhsuan & Hsia Yuhao portrayed by the actors Zach Lu and Fandy Fan from History 2: Crossing The Line which is a Taiwanese BL (Boy Love)

2. Xavian & Chia-Hao also borrow inspiration from the old saying “brain and brawn”. Xavian being the brain and Chia-Hao being the brawn.

3. Xavian also takes inspiration from several other fictional characters such as Sage (X-Men), Jack (Xuan Dou Zhi Wang), Sonya Blade (Mortal Kombat X), and Braniac (DC Comics).

4. Chia-Hao also takes inspiration from the character Shen Woo from The King Of Fighters series.

5. Xavian is pansexual and Chia-Hao is bisexual.

6. Xavian is one of the few human acquaintances of Queen Othello Strongs and even had a one night stand with her.
